DAC & Partners is the only provider approved to deliver the BTEC Advanced Award in Human Resource Management.
This is a Level 3 qualification, written by DAC and a very experienced associate; it has met the exacting standards imposed by Edexcel, to carry the name BTEC in its title.
The course comprises 5 units, each delivered over 2 days in the classroom. Unit 1 and 2 are mandatory, and learners might elect to complete one or more of the remaining units in addition to these.
Unit 1: Employment Law Overview
This unit is to provides learners with knowledge of the basic requirements of employment law and benefits of implementing ‘best practice’ procedures.
Unit 2: Managing Discipline and Grievance
In this unit learners will gain knowledge of the requirements of discipline & grievance legislation; they will be able to identify the various stages which are mandatory, and ensure an understanding of how these can be practically applied.
Unit 3: Contracts of Employment
This unit examines the essential requirements of employment contracts, and identifies what is mandatory, what is optional, what must be in writing and what can be ‘implied’.
Unit 4: Equality, Diversity and Discrimination
The focus of this unit is current anti-discrimination legislation together with the principles and benefits of equality & diversity within the workplace.
Unit 5: Recruitment and Selection
The aim of this unit is to provide learners with a detailed understanding of the recruitment & selection process, the techniques available, documentation required and legislative requirements.
